All living things are born and, in time, come to an end. Yet this cycle is not solely one of loss—it is also a continuous flow that gives rise to new beginnings.
In Hika Rakuyo (Falling Flowers, Flowing Souls), flowers and shimmering particles continuously emerge, drift, and fade away, expressing both the fragility and beauty of life. The mandala-like composition that unfolds across the screen symbolizes the cyclical nature of existence, where endings and beginnings are endlessly intertwined, reflecting the rhythms of nature and the perpetual circulation of souls.
While the music is rooted in a sense of stillness, it adopts a more luminous and radiant character than usual in response to the interplay of laser light and moving images. The work seeks to bring fleeting moments of brilliance and quiet resonance into the viewer’s everyday life, inviting ordinary scenes to be experienced in a subtly transformed way.
