Tokyo Fusion
Tokyo Fusion depicts three women who encounter one another in a futuristic vision of Tokyo, where tradition and technology seamlessly coexist. Wearing kimono-inspired garments and surrounded by a cybernetic landscape, they embody a city that is constantly evolving while remaining connected to its cultural roots.
Created using AI and generative processes, the work draws inspiration from traditional Japanese visual culture, including emakimono (illustrated handscrolls) and bijinga portraiture. By combining these historical references with contemporary digital aesthetics, it explores how the past can be continuously reimagined through new technologies.
Rather than presenting a nostalgic view of Japan, Tokyo Fusion celebrates the creative process of transformation itself—where experimentation, repetition, and innovation become ways of preserving tradition while imagining new possibilities.
